Head Spa

26 questions Book an appointment →
What is a Head Spa treatment and how is it different from a regular hair wash?

A Head Spa is a luxury scalp and hair treatment that combines deep cleansing, hydration and massage. Not only does your hair get clean, we also focus on the health of your scalp, promoting hair growth and reducing stress.

What are the benefits of a Head Spa treatment for the scalp and hair?

A Head Spa improves blood circulation in the scalp, detoxifies it and supplies it with oxygen, which promotes healthier hair growth. Your hair becomes shinier, softer and fuller, while scalp problems (such as dryness or oiliness) can also improve.

How long does a Head Spa treatment take?

The Head Spa treatment lasts 50 minutes, plus 10 minutes for changing and 30 minutes for a blow-dry by a professional hairdresser, so the whole treatment takes about 90 minutes in total.

Who is the Head Spa treatment recommended for?

Anyone who would like to improve the condition of their scalp and hair. It is especially recommended for those who are stressed, struggling with hair loss, or have a problematic scalp (e.g. dry, oily or dandruff-prone). Oxigeni, the brand we use for the treatment, also has a product developed specifically for problem hair.

Does a Head Spa help reduce hair loss?

The treatment stimulates blood circulation in the scalp and strengthens the hair follicles, which can help reduce hair loss and support the growth of new hair.

Can the treatment also be used for scalp problems (e.g. dandruff, oiliness)?

A Head Spa can be particularly helpful in relieving such problems. The natural Oxygeni products and massage techniques used during the treatment bring the scalp back into balance.

What products do you use during the Head Spa treatment?

We use natural, chemical-free products from Oxygeni Hair, which are gentle on the scalp yet cleanse and nourish effectively.

How often should you have a Head Spa treatment?

To maintain the maximum hair-care and stress-relieving effect, once a month is recommended, but if you have more serious scalp problems, it may be worth repeating the treatment as often as every 2 weeks.

Can I come for a Head Spa treatment with coloured or treated hair?

Yes, a Head Spa is safe for coloured or treated hair too – in fact, it can help keep your hair healthy and preserve the shine of coloured hair.

How soon can I see results?

You’ll feel the difference after just one Head Spa treatment – your hair becomes softer and shinier, and your scalp feels fresher. For lasting results, regular treatments are recommended.

Are there any contraindications that make the treatment inadvisable?

You can take part in a Head Spa treatment if you accept the following:

Is it only recommended for long hair, or is it effective for shorter hair too?

A Head Spa is effective for any hair length, short or long. The treatment focuses on the scalp, so the length of your hair doesn’t affect the result.

Can a Head Spa treatment help with headaches or migraines?

Massaging the scalp improves blood circulation and releases tension, which in many cases can help relieve headaches or migraines.

Can men come too?

A Head Spa is recommended for everyone regardless of gender – men and women alike can enjoy the treatment and its benefits.

Can bald men come too? :)

Of course – a scalp without hair is just as sensitive and responds just as well to massage and scalp treatment.

How does a Head Spa help reduce stress?

The relaxing massage and calming environment of a Head Spa help reduce stress and recharge you mentally, so regular Head Spa sessions have a calming effect, improve your wellbeing and help you sleep.

Can a Head Spa treatment be combined with other hair treatments, such as hair colouring or a haircut?

Yes, a Head Spa complements hair colouring and haircuts perfectly – it even prepares the scalp and hair so the end result is even more beautiful. At the MOSAIC salon, a hairdresser with 18 years of experience is also waiting for you.

Can I come for a Head Spa with hair extensions?

Yes, you can come for a Head Spa treatment with hair extensions, but there are a few things to bear in mind. The treatment focuses primarily on the scalp, so extensions are not an obstacle, but it’s worth letting us know in advance that you have them. That way we can tailor the treatment and use a gentle technique to avoid damaging or loosening your extensions. A Head Spa can help keep your own hair and scalp healthy, which can also have a positive effect on how long your extensions last.

Do I have to go home with wet hair?

No. The treatment is followed by about 30 minutes of gentle, professional blow-drying, included in the price. You leave with dried, styled hair.

Can I come with coloured hair?

Yes. Head Spa is a great choice for coloured or lightened hair too. We use vegan, chemical-free OXYGENI products, and if you're unsure, just tell your massage therapist at the start of the treatment.

Does it work with long hair?

Yes. Hair length is no obstacle: the treatment works just the same with long hair, and we tailor the blow-dry to your hair.

Do I have to chat during the treatment?

No need. You can talk quietly if you like, but the essence of the treatment is quiet rest: soft music, light effects and scents help you relax.

What if my scalp is sensitive?

Tell us at the start and we'll adapt the treatment. Head Spa is good for oily, dry or flaky scalps and for hair loss too. For inflammatory scalp conditions (e.g. psoriasis, eczema, seborrhoea), it's best to consult a trichologist first.

How long does it take altogether?

The treatment is 50 minutes, followed by about 30 minutes of blow-drying, so allow about 1 hour 20 minutes in total.

Do I book the same way with a gift card?

Yes. In the booking system, choose the gift card option and enter the card code on the details form. Book with a gift card →

Hair Removal

12 questions Book an appointment →
Is the treatment suitable for all skin types?

The diode laser can be used safely on most skin types. At the first session we determine your skin type using the Fitzpatrick scale and the thickness of your hairs, and set the machine accordingly. The laser is less effective on very light, thin or grey hair: if you are unsure, come to a free consultation and we will check together.

What side effects can it have?

After the treatment, mild redness, a feeling of warmth or sensitivity may occur: this is a natural reaction and usually disappears within 48 hours. If persistent irritation, blistering or an unusual skin symptom appears, please let us know in time.

When are the results visible?

Thinning is noticeable after the very first treatment (even 20–30%). The treated hairs gradually fall out within 1–3 weeks after the treatment, and you reach the final result by the end of the 8-session programme.

Can I sunbathe during the treatments?

In the 2 weeks before the treatment avoid sunbathing and tanning beds. For 3–5 days after the treatment avoid intense heat and UV radiation (tanning bed, midday sun), and SPF 50+ sunscreen is mandatory on the treated area. If you follow this, you don't have to skip the summer season.

Does the hair really disappear “forever”?

Treated hair follicles no longer produce hair. Over the years, hormonal changes can wake up dormant follicles, so after the 12-month guarantee 1 maintenance “reminder” treatment per year may be needed, which you get at half price forever. And you can forget about everyday shaving.

What should I do with the hair between two treatments?

You can shave at any time between treatments, so your skin can stay smooth throughout. The only rule: forget removal from the root (waxing, epilator, tweezers) during the course, because it would pull out the laser's target, the hair follicle.

What happens at the first session?

The first session lasts 60 minutes and is available with a 20% discount. We determine your skin type and hair thickness, go through the contraindications (e.g. photosensitising medication, hormonal diseases), and then start the first treatment according to your skin type. Finally we estimate how many sessions you will need, and you get a fixed price for it.

How should I prepare for the treatment?

Shave the area to be treated 24 hours before your appointment so that the laser energy goes directly into the hair follicle. On the day of the treatment do not use body lotion, oil, deodorant or other cosmetics on the treated area. Do not wax or epilate in the 3–4 weeks before the treatment, because the laser needs the hair follicle. For 24–48 hours after the treatment avoid hot baths, saunas, swimming pools and intense exercise.

Is it safe for the intimate area too?

The cooling head protects your skin throughout, so even the sensitive skin of the intimate area isn't harmed, and the treatment is carried out by a specialist with complete discretion.

What does the 12-month guarantee mean?

If hair grows back within 12 months of your 8th treatment, we remove it free of charge. You also get our price guarantee: the programme price is fixed, you pay for only 6 of the 8 sessions, and not upfront, but session by session.

What happens after the 8 sessions?

Once the 12-month guarantee has ended, you can have annual maintenance treatments with a 50% discount forever, that is, at half price. You may well not need them, but if a few hairs reappear due to hormonal changes, we'll treat them quickly and at a discount.

Who is the treatment not recommended for?

We cannot treat you: during pregnancy and breastfeeding; while taking photosensitising medication (e.g. certain antibiotics, retinoids, antidepressants); if you have epilepsy; with active cancer (or within 5 years of recovery); with a pacemaker or a metal implant in the area; if you are prone to keloids; with a severe autoimmune condition (e.g. lupus, vitiligo in the area concerned).

We need to postpone: after recent sunburn or sunbathing (if your skin is red or sensitive), with an active infection in the area to be treated (e.g. herpes, fungal infection, open wound), and if you have waxed or epilated in the past 3–4 weeks.

We avoid or cover: tattoos and permanent make-up (we keep a safe distance), and larger moles (we cover them with a white pencil).

Hair Salon

7 questions Book an appointment →
How much does it cost exactly?

The price depends on the service and the length of your hair. For example, root colouring is from 23,950 HUF, full highlights from 39,950 HUF and balayage from 42,950 HUF. In the price list you can see every service by hair length, and the same price appears in the booking system too.

How long does it take?

It depends on the service and the length of your hair: root colouring with blow-dry takes approx. 1.5–2.5 hours, balayage approx. 3–4.5 hours. When booking, you always see the exact duration of the service you've chosen.

What's included in the price?

Colouring prices include the hair colour and the blow-dry. We complement the hair wash with a relaxing head massage, which is complimentary. You can pay by cash or bank card.

Does lightening damage my hair?

We assess the condition of your hair first and only recommend a result that is realistically achievable. When going from dark to very light hair, after repeated previous colouring or for a colour correction, the result you want may take more than one session. We discuss this before the treatment.

Do I have to choose a hairdresser?

No. If it doesn't matter who you see, choose the „No preference – I'd like the earliest appointment” option in the booking system, and we'll show you the earliest available appointment.

What if I don't know what to book?

You can book a 30-minute free hairdressing consultation: we look at your hair, talk through your ideas, and tell you which service is right for you and how much it costs.

Where is the salon?

1023 Budapest, Bécsi út 2. Between Kolosy tér and Zsigmond tér, on the border of the 2nd and 3rd districts. Opening hours: Monday to Friday 8:00–20:00, closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Oxygen Therapy

13 questions Book an appointment →
How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your starting condition: 3–5 sessions for milder concerns, 5–10 for more serious ones. Our guests usually see a change by the second or third session; a dramatic change generally takes 5–7 sessions. We can tell you the exact number after the assessment. You don't need to pay for several sessions in advance.

Is the treatment painful?

No. The treatment is painless and needle-free: it takes place lying comfortably in a private treatment room.

How long does it take?

The first session, including the hair camera assessment, the treatment and the blow-dry, takes about 80 minutes (1 hour 20 minutes). Further sessions take roughly the same time.

Can I come for an assessment only?

Yes. The hair camera assessment + consultation (4,990 HUF) can be booked without a treatment: we look at the condition of your scalp, go through your questions and recommend the next step. There is no obligation afterwards.

Is the assessment a medical diagnosis?

No. The hair camera analysis is used to observe the condition of the scalp and hair so that we can personalise the treatment. It does not replace a medical examination and does not provide a medical diagnosis.

I have sudden, heavy hair loss. Should I book?

With heavy, sudden or unexplained hair loss, it is best to see a doctor first (for example a dermatologist), as there may be a medical cause behind it. If you would also like to have your scalp assessed, we are happy to take a look and tell you honestly how we can help.

Can I pay with a SZÉP card?

Yes, we also accept SZÉP cards.

Do I need to buy a pass in advance?

No. There is no mandatory pass with us: you pay per session, only for what you use. From the 2nd session the price is 26,000 HUF / session. If you would like to plan ahead, you can also choose a 5- or 10-session pass for the following sessions (the first treatment, 29,900 HUF, is separate): it costs the same as paying per session (5 × 26,000 = 130,000 HUF or 10 × 26,000 = 260,000 HUF), and it comes with a product gift: with 5 sessions a 1-litre Oxygeni shampoo (worth 19,800 HUF), with 10 sessions a 1-litre shampoo and conditioner (worth 47,800 HUF together), enough for at least six months.

Who performs the treatment?

Our experienced therapists trained in oxygen therapy: Bozsoki-Harangozó Tündi, Szűcs Vivien and Menyhárt Móni. When booking you can choose who you would like to see, or simply pick the earliest available slot.

Who is the treatment not recommended for?

Contraindications: fever, a cold, upper respiratory tract infection, severe allergy, certain cytostatic therapies. Permanent exclusions: a history of spontaneous pneumothorax, significant obstructive airway disease, severe asthma, COPD, the condition after certain ear surgeries, congenital spherocytosis, a pacemaker, or a scalp that is purulent, has open wounds or is bleeding. If you are unsure, let us know before booking and we will talk it through.

What should I pay attention to before and after the treatment?

Before: don't wash your hair for 48 hours before the treatment, avoid coffee, alcohol and fizzy drinks, and leave at least 10 days before and after hair colouring, lightening or hair straightening. After: don't wash your hair for 24–48 hours, avoid exercise and the sauna for 12 hours, and no hair colouring, lightening or chemical treatment for 10 days.

What happens if I need to change my appointment?

You can change or cancel your appointment via the link in the confirmation email you receive after booking, or call us on 06 20 247 4444. Please let us know about any change or cancellation at least 24 hours before your appointment so that another guest can book the slot.

Permanent Make-up

13 questions Book an appointment →
How much does permanent make-up hurt?

I work gently, keep a constant eye on your comfort, and we can take a short break at any time. Most of my clients find it more pleasant than they expected.

What if it turns out too dark or fake-looking?

I plan for the softer, healed result, not the fresh, more intense colour. I build up the pigment gradually so your brows don’t look harsh and your lips don’t look like permanent lipstick.

What if I don’t like the pre-drawn shape?

I design the shape and colour direction in advance, tailored to you. I keep refining it until it feels completely yours. I only start tattooing once you’ve approved it.

How long does the treatment take?

Including design and pre-drawing, the treatment takes approx. 2–2.5 hours – and that time is reserved just for you. The touch-up follows after 4–7 weeks.

How does it heal?

The fresh colour is always more intense, and after lip blush there may be some temporary swelling. The treated area flakes and fades, then over a few weeks the final, softer shade develops.

When can I see the final result?

The healed result can usually be judged after 4–6 weeks.

How long does it last?

It usually stays beautiful for 2–2.5 years; over time a refresh may be needed to make the shape and colour even again.

What's included in the price?

The consultation, designing and pre-drawing the shape, the treatment, the touch-up after 4–7 weeks and the aftercare guide. I don’t ask for a deposit: you pay for the treatment on site, after the service.

What happens at the touch-up?

After 4–7 weeks I refine the result and strengthen the colour if needed.

What if I already have permanent make-up?

In that case, please don’t book a treatment straight away: first send a few clear photos of your current permanent make-up taken in natural light. I’ll see how we can safely proceed and recommend a treatment based on that.

What should I look out for beforehand?

We discuss any previous tattoo, medication, contraindications and, for lip blush, any tendency to cold sores in advance.

How long before an event or holiday should I come?

Allow time for healing and the touch-up: the healed result can usually be judged after 4–6 weeks, and the touch-up follows after 4–7 weeks.

How can I change my appointment?

You can change or cancel it using the Salonic link in your confirmation email – no later than 48 hours before the treatment.

Gift Card

10 questions Book an appointment →
How long is the gift card valid?

For 6 months from the date of purchase. The exact expiry date is also shown on the card.

How do I receive the gift card?

After payment you receive a confirmation by email. Once the gift card is ready, it appears here on the page and by email in printable form (you can print it or save it as a PDF).

Can I personalise the card?

Yes, the card you print at home: before paying you can choose a design, upload a photo and add a quote or message. The paper card collected at the salon comes with MOSAIC's own design.

Can I collect it in person?

Yes: you can collect it at the salon (1023 Budapest, Bécsi út 2) on paper, in a decorative envelope. You choose this before paying, under the delivery method.

How can I pay?

Primarily by bank card (also Apple Pay and Google Pay, where available). You can also request a bank transfer: we send the transfer details by email and issue the card once the transfer has arrived.

How can it be redeemed?

When booking online enter the coupon code on the card in the “coupon code” field, and the system applies the 100% discount. The card is personalised with a name and is valid for 6 months.

What is the difference between single, couples and four-hands?

All three are a 50-minute treatment + 30-minute blow-dry. The single is for one guest; the couples is for two guests side by side with two professional massage therapists; the four-hands is for one guest, pampered by two professional massage therapists at the same time, with a professional hairdresser blow-drying at the end.

Is it a good gift for men too?

A Head Spa is recommended for everyone regardless of gender – men and women alike can enjoy the treatment and its benefits.

Is it good for short hair too?

A Head Spa is effective for any hair length, short or long. The treatment focuses on the scalp, so the length of your hair doesn’t affect the result.

Are there any contraindications to be aware of?

The Head Spa treatment is available to anyone who accepts the following:

  • In the 4 weeks before the treatment, they have not had a head injury or a more serious concussion (with vomiting and fever).
  • They do not have acute sinusitis, swollen lymph nodes, tonsillitis or a tooth infection.
